KIENI FIGHTERS OF HIV/AIDS
Started in 2007 by individuals living with HIV/AIDS, Kieni works towards saving the lives of individuals living with HIV/AIDS and fighting the stigma and discrimination they face.
The primary objective and impact of the Kieni Fighters of HIV/AIDS Resource Centre is to reduce the rate of HIV/AIDS infection and increase health-care access for individuals with HIV/AIDS in Kieni by targeting the underlying drivers of HIV risk and vulnerability for women and girls in Kenya. The intended and primary target population is women and girls in Kieni, Kenya that are at high-risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. The proposed Kieni Fighters of HIV/AIDS Resource Centre is a combination prevention program that holistically addresses the behavioural, biomedical, and structural risks of HIV/AIDS infection for women and girls in Kieni, Kenya.
