Jessica is a Social Communicator and Journalist from the University of Manizales, Colombia. In 2018, Jessica launched and directed the Regional Communications Team for the world's largest youth organization, AIESEC, in Manizales, Colombia. From a very young age, she has been part of social activities and organizations, she considers that volunteer is her main passion. As part of AIESEC, Jessica was also part of the External Relations Committee leading fundraising campaigns and events, she also helped the Global Volunteers on their process of either arriving at or moving out of Colombia. As a Social Communicator and Journalist, she ran a photography project, where they were able to graduate 30+ kids from ages 7-10. The project wanted to fight against poverty through educational activities and social impact. Jessica also assisted a crew of journalists to cover the government's first response to a natural disaster that forced 400 families to leave their houses. Jessica's role model is Nelson Mandela, favourite quote: "I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear".
